Twoo was invited by Aprender Design founding members Glauber Sampaio and Gustavo Bittencourt to work on the upgrade of its visual identity.
Since Aprender's design was already well-known and often copied, we chose to keep its basic structure and add new possibilities.
Seeking inspiration in the digital nature of the school, we created a graphic motif generator, which generates illustrations through the combination of code and geometry, both basic elements of the digital design world. Also, the design is not only made up of geometric shapes, but it is also built on a geometric grid. The grid gives the design unity while also giving it a lot of freedom and variety.
The color palette remains the same—vibrant and digital—but with new combination possibilities. Typography, on the other hand, assumes a more complementary role within the new system, without dueling for prominence with the illustrations, which already have enough personality.
The new system is designed to fit various uses, from the most conservative to the most daring, in a flexible branding system where the application and modulation of graphic motifs — sometimes applied in a discreet and secondary way or with much more emphasis and prominence — are critical for the composition's construction and the final visual impression of the layouts.
